SEARCHfilm is the ongoing collaboration between Angela Bedekovic and Matthias Grunsky since 2019.
Their films begin with curiosity – about human behavior, about perspective, about what tends to go unnoticed. They explore how we think, act, and perceive the world, always striving for a non-judgmental approach that brings a diversity of perspectives to life. Whether making films or art projects, they share one goal: finding the form that best fits the subject.
The duo works collaboratively throughout all stages of the artistic production process. From conception through to realisation and post-production, their works are created through an intensive dialogue. Angela Bedekovic is mostly responsible for conceptual development, performance and sound design, whilst Matthias Grunsky is in charge of cinematography, editing and technical implementation. This division of labour, which is based on each individual’s expertise and strengths, allows for precise artistic control whilst fostering creative openness, inspiration and spontaneity.
Their work is featured at film festivals as well as exhibitions, and can be streamed online.
